Rangers Join Four-Way Battle for £2.5m Hungarian Sensation Damir Redzic

RANGERS have thrown their hat into the ring for Hungarian international Damir Redzic as Danny Rohl looks to add more firepower to his high-flying frontline.

The Ibrox giants are understood to be “pushing hard” for the Dunajska Streda star, who has set the Slovakian Niké liga alight this season. Redzic has already racked up seven goals and one assist in just 14 league appearances, making this the most prolific campaign of his young career.

European Heavyweights Circle

Rangers aren’t the only ones watching. According to top transfer insider Rudy Galetti, the Gers are locked in a four-way struggle with RB Salzburg, FC Copenhagen, and Olympiacos for the winger’s signature.

Redzic, who made his senior debut for Hungary against the Republic of Ireland last year, is currently valued at around £2.5 million. With a contract running until 2027, the Slovaks are in no rush to sell—but the lure of a title-chasing Rangers side could be the decisive factor.

The Rohl Reshuffle

Danny Rohl has already shown he means business this month, securing Danish powerhouse Tochi Chukwuani in a landmark £4 million deal from Sturm Graz. With left-back Tuur Rommens also expected to complete a £3.5 million switch from Westerlo within the next 24 hours, the Gers are moving with an aggression rarely seen at Ibrox in recent years.

The interest in Redzic suggests Rohl is preparing for life after Djeidi Gassama. While the Frenchman has been a key man in the recent winning streak, he is attracting serious interest from Villarreal and several MLS clubs. Redzic, a direct and pacey wide man who can play on either flank, is seen as the perfect fit for Rohl’s high-intensity system.

Title Race Intensity

Following Sunday’s gritty 2-0 win at Pittodrie, Rangers sit just three points off the top of the table. Rohl has publicly praised the board—led by Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe—for their swift movement in the market.

“We want to be on the front foot,” Rohl admitted. “The club has worked hard to get our primary targets in early, and we are not finished yet.” If Rangers can beat out the likes of RB Salzburg for Redzic, it would send a massive shockwave through the Scottish Premiership and signal that the title race is truly wide open.
